Engineering Faculty Position
Penn State Berks seeks to fill an Electrical
Engineering faculty position beginning in Fall
2017. Depending on qualifications, the position
will be for an Associate Professor of Engineering
(tenured appointment), Assistant Professor of
Engineering (tenure-track appointment), or
Lecturer of Engineering (fixed term appointment).

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching electrical-discipline
courses offered in the first two years of the
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
baccalaureate programs as well as courses in the
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology
baccalaureate program. Possible course topics
include: PLCs, DC and AC circuits, digital
circuits, microprocessors and microcontrollers,
motors and generators, 3-phase power, computers
and networking, device interfacing, digital
signal processing, automated control systems, and
software programming. Responsibilities also
include advising students and providing service
to the college and the profession.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of a Master`s degree in
electrical engineering or closely related
discipline and three years of engineering
experience in industry are required. PhD,
professional licensure and college-level teaching
experience are preferred. PhD and evidence of
potential for research and publication are
necessary for tenure-track/tenured appointment.
